Happy Weekend Steemians,
It's indeed a great relieve to actually get to conclude the exams I just had. The session has been a tough one right from the onset due to the world pandemic occurrences but all thanks to God, we're seriously surviving!

This sculpture (wire - work) was actually an assignment from my sculpture lecturer and it happens to be my first attempt trying my make out a human Figure out of wires. At first, I was running away from the assignment, I thought it would be so difficult to manipulate the wires since I do not have much equipment for sculpture nor wire - works. But thank God for my friends (@innovator05 and @bob-dray) they were the ones that went to buy the wires for the assignments and they did well enough to secure ones that are quite easy to twist and manipulate.

This was how I started the assignment. We actually got two kinds of wires, a think one and a thin one. The thick one was what I used in building the armature of the figure and as you can see above I also began to build the body form but at this stage I used the thin wires, it was very much preferable, I could easily twist it.

This pictures of these stages are quite dark because I was working on the assignment in the middle of the night around 1am. At this stage, I was still using the thin wires to build up the body forms of the figure.

Still in that middle of the night, I continued to develop the body forms of the figure but then, the wasn't much thin wires to work with anymore so I built up the legs of the figure with the thick wires using a plier to make the work quite easy.

At this stage it was morning already, I had to leave the work around 2am and sleep. I got up the next day before 6am and I finished up the first layer of building the body forms of the figure.

At this stage, I could say the work was done! I built up the second and final layer of the figure's body. At this stage I just needed a base for the work to stand on. In order to snap the picture above, I had to join a piece of wire to the upper part of the figure to enable holding it from afar.

From the onset, I had designed the dance gesture already but due to building the forms, I had to tamper with the gesture too many times and finally, because I had to make the piece stand on a base, I just had to change the dance gesture by moving both legs so close to each other.

Kindly share your thoughts as comments below, I'll be glad to read and reply them all. Thanks.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!
