Pen Drawing of a Sleeping Figure. (Chiaroscuro Technique).
Happy Weekend Once again Friends,
I made the above drawing some hours ago and the study was quite interesting for me, I know the impression I was able to achieve with the heavy contrast (Chiaroscuro) in the drawing.
The figure was lying close to the window and the sunlight from the window fell just right on his belly creating so much contrast on the other parts of the body not directly opposite the window. Aside from the heavy contrast, the shadings I had done on the legs, arms, and some other parts of the body which brought about the depth in the drawing made me so confident in and with my strokes today. Another thing is the wall impression I made and the set of pillows the figure was lying on alongside the window itself, all these made my composition quite interesting and full unlike the usual figure drawing I've always shared with you guys, I just hope you love it like I do!
