I am so glad I could come back with an amazing post on the @worldofxpilar community page. May you always be in good health and protected by God Almighty.
How was last month!? I hope everyone is doing great!? And I hope you had a productive and fruitful month!? I'm here again with another photorealism realistic graphite portrait. I want to present to you a realistic portrait drawing of Dr Patrick Uko which was commissioned by some students in the department of political science in the Akwa Ibom State College Of Education, Afaha Nsit. Where I was schooling. Dr. Patrick has been one of the famous provost in my school as at his time. He brought a lot of development in terms of infrastructure and academic advancement. He was highly celebrated and won the heart of the college community due to his concern for the welfare of the people (staffs, non teaching staffs and students).
In the record of provosts who piloted the affairs of the school he was number one. After his tenure was over he now moved to Akwa Ibom State University where he was made a dean of one of the prestigious department.

I will say this is one of the work that brought me to limelight, for so many of my schoolmate didn't know I was an artist until I did this portrait.
Though it was a rushed project but I did well for ally artworks are representing me.

Materials

PaperPelican
Size20 X 24 inches
Pencilspowder and graphite pencil
EraserTombo mono zero and nataraj vynil eraser
CameraInfinix mobile phone
DurationApproximately 26 hrs.
LocationStudio

Here are the steps on how I did the portrait.
I drew my grid lines and made my sketch then started shading it gradually as usual. having a grid for sketch has been so good to artist because it gives you 100,% of accuracy when it come to the need for exact proportion. Starting with one side of the face which was the eyes, eyebrows and other features of the face. Then gradually move from left to right. this is how many artist draw to prevent smudging. Now to achieve that realistic skin texture and skin pores I had to sharpen my Graphite pencil for detailing and use my tombo mono zero eraser to erase lights, highlights, pinpoints, especially on the beard and eyebrows which had a lot of gray hair, making it real and accurate.

It's an honor to paint a portrait of someone important, helpful, and loved. But at the same time, you may feel pressure on yourself. It seems that you have drawn a very successful portrait in a short time, congratulations. It is very nice of you to share the drawing stages and the materials you use in detail. Thus, I had the chance to examine it in detail. By the way, the portrait idea is a very nice gift 😊👍

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I look forward to dropping more works and to get better everyday. Thanks again @serap

I love the way you approach your depth and the way you control your dark tones. Lovely piece but how long did it take you to finish up in hours?

Approximately 26 hrs. You know as a devoted artist I don't always time myself when working on great masterpiece especially if I'm given sufficient time by the owner of the job. Thanks for your commendation.

Okay.
You're most welcome friend.
