Hi steemians! How was last month. Happy new month. I hope you are having a great day. My fellow members of @worldofxpilar I am here to share my most recent realistic charcoal pencil portrait of my recent commission piece I did for my griend a friend's mother to commensurate with her birthday which is today. I know my client will love it, and the celebrant will be excited.

Materials

Papermat paper
Size16 X 20 inches
Pencilscharcoal pencil and powder
EraserTombo mono zero and nataraj vynil eraser
Camerainfinix mobile phone
DurationApproximately 22 hours
LocationHome

Here are the steps on how I did the portrait.
As usual I drew my grid lines and made my sketch then started shading it gradually. Sometimes I usually start some of my portraits from the hair, but in his case I started with the eyes before going up to the hair. This is to helps me work downward and from left to right before moving down to the clothing. I do this to avoid smudging the part I may have already worked on. I really took my time to include everything in detail. Making sure nothing was left out since I was told that my client will really appreciate an excellent work. And I know myself. I know I'm always committed to excellence regardless of who my client may be.
I myself love how I went about detailing her hair and her clothes.
The details on the clothing was so herculean. I had to sit down and pay attention to every detail. This makes me feel people pay me to pay attention.
Apart from the clothing another thing that took my time is the hair. If you zoom it close you will see the details. Most time I feel bored when detailing my portrait but I will finally be prideful when I am done. I always feel like clapping for myself.
Hurray!
Happy birthday to her.
