Elon Musk asks on Twitter if Tesla should support Dogecoin as a payment for its cars

The Doge-father could offer the green light to Dogecoin as an admitted payment procedure for Tesla vehicles.

Musk ran a Twitter poll asking the public if they wanted Tesla to accept Dogecoin as a payment procedure.

Musk's Twitter poll will run over 24 hours and may be a precursor to the company adding the successful meme currency as a payment procedure.

Dogecoin advocates were urging the Tesla CEO to add the cryptocurrency with the Shiba Inu issue to his list of accepted payment procedures, given Musk's apparent fondness for the token.

Incidentally, responses to the survey were overwhelmingly favorable, with about 78% of respondents in favor of Tesla recognizing payments with Dogecoin.

As expected, Musk's tweet has caused a significant attitude in the cost of Dogecoin.

Dogecoin is up more than 10,600% year-to-date and pretended to be on track to hit the $1 mark in early May thanks to the market's feverish fervor.

Such was Dogecoin's fervor that DOGE inquiry interest on the Internet exceeded Bitcoin for the first time.

Tesla already accepts Bitcoin (BTC) as a payment procedure for its electric vehicles. The company made the announcement in March and additionally stated its intentions to realize a Bitcoin node. Tesla has furthermore proclaimed that it will maintain BTC payments received for its cars.
