AI is learning fast, currently we are int eh stage where it is still learning, majority of it is what it learnt is the information that we feed it. So it is and will be more or less have similarity with it. I think it will take some time till we see something that AI generated on its own, I am pretty sure it will be awesome.
Yes, as you said, although artificial intelligence is not perfect yet, it will definitely reach a level beyond the reach of ordinary humans in the future. After all, the knowledge carried by his brain is something that humans can never learn. It's like a big search engine that covers all the knowledge on the Internet.
