Yes @stef1, people tend to live in pleasant memories. Especially when the world around them is not very friendly. Childhood lives within us and not only in memories. When we are engaged in creativity, a curious child wakes up in us, who needs to try everything.

Да, люди склонны жить приятными воспоминаниями. Особенно когда мир вокруг них не очень дружелюбен. Детство живёт внутри нас и не только в воспоминаниях. Когда мы занимаемся творчеством, в нас просыпается любопытный ребёнок, которому надо всё попробовать.
