Such beautiful drapery studies, I love to play with the direction of lines but to do the pattern of clothes that is one of my favorite thing although the most difficult too if something is wrong then the whole work looks very weird.
Yes it can be quite difficult to get right. I find it's easy to rush it and then you lose the general form but breaking it down into simple surfaces makes it a lot easier.
