RE: 😠 Why is Steemit So Unfair...?

in WORLD OF XPILAR4 years ago

Excellent analysis on all points.

Expanding on two areas (to help @pandev and others)...

  1. Comments are important, and relevant comments can be very important.
A common 'discovery' route we use when curating is by visiting the authors of the first one or two good comments on a post we have just visited.
So comment more and comment well.

  2. Content is King - but it should have value and it should have an audience.
We like to reward 'content with a purpose' and even better 'content with an audience'.
Who is going to read your content and what value are they going to get from it (be it information, education, entertainment, enjoyment)?
And who is your audience? If your posts aren't attracting any audience you need to either build an audience for your content, or try different content.

For @pandev his choice of content is a weak point. Many of his posts (The step of Human, Stay Hopeful, Love...) are very generic, with no strong purpose or audience.

His recent post 'GMSA - UG KNOW YOUR EXECUTIVES' has value and purpose. He just needs to build an audience for this sort of content.

And there is still some work to do on writing style and presentation, but that is not too far off the mark.

One final general point that is critically important for everyone starting out on Steem - Visibility.

Get known, get seen, get read, get voted.

Hope all this helps, and thank you again for the very thorough and interesting analysis.

It does help, thank you.

I especially like your inclusion of "content with a purpose / audience" - I struggled to put my finger on why I wasn't drawn to reading his content (other than the football posts) and you have succinctly identified why 👍

Content with a purpose is a difficult thing to do consistently and the concept links in well with the other points.

Great attitude to have in life brother. We all learn every day, it makes us become better human beings. Much success to you moving forward.

Thank you 👍

I'm honored by this advice. I have been on this blockchain learning and didn't know what I was doing wrong. Today I have learned something and I will have to improve to make myself better.

Life is a learning process and I wish to see to it that in the later posts of mine you will read, you find purpose and you wouldn't struggle to pinpoint by choice of audience.

To comment, I will work on it and do my best to do it more. Engaging is key and I will work hard in all these regards.

Thanks for everything I will say. I'm grateful. Alhamdulillah.

@the-gorilla

Thank you so much for this guidelines, I will definitely share the link to this post and this comment for others to learn before they start complaining. I always know comment is important but today I get to see how important meaningful comment is. There's always room for improvement so I'll try in all the pointed areas.

Believe it or not, 99% of users here know this nuclear science,

It rather wonders what divides the users here and you have a not inconsiderable proportion

Ask yourself how honest the answers you get are,

You can think about it #SC Happy Easter

Da kannst du ja mal drüber nachdenken #SC frohe Ostern
