It's a dilemma isn't it? It's possible to play attacking football and win - which it could be argued that Man City and Liverpool do - although their success is built upon 2 of the best goalkeepers in the world and a good defence.
I know why I watch football though and as I've gotten older and my time has become more precious to me, I don't want to watch boring football.
As a teenager, I watched any match. Especially if it was the European Cup. The level of Ukrainian teams was very weak (except for Dynamo Kyiv). So the matches were mostly a set of fouls. And I was happy that we played a zero draw :)
Only after your words I understand that I also want my team to attack, even against England. I was very happy that the Ukrainian national team played a great match with the Netherlands at Euro 2020. We lost, but with a score of 2: 3, and looked very decent.

I enjoyed watching the Ukraine... until they played England. They played like they had nothing to lose and deserved to get through their group. Especially in the Netherlands game - I was disappointed you lost that.
I didn't enjoy watching England so I don't always watch them any more. It's hard not to watch the National Team when they have an important match, but I needed to do a long drive on roads that are normally overcrowded so I decided to drive (instead of watching the dull 0-0 draw v. Scotland) and then drive back (instead of watching us beat Croatia). The roads were quieter 🙂
I went to meet friends instead of watching our game on Friday but I'll probably watch tonight's game - unless I can think of something better to do 😁
Team support is not just about watching matches. I used to watch all the matches in a row, now I just don't have much time.
Tomorrow is the decisive match of the Ukrainian national team against Bosnia and Herzegovina. I hope to watch it, although I don't expect us to reach the playoffs.
I see that Finland's last game is against France though so if you win, then you have a very good chance of making it into the playoffs.

England play San Marino tonight. Which is a great opportunity to get embarrassed.

I am optimistic about England. It seems to me that this is a great team. On the contrary, you see only bad in the team. The opposite is true with the Ukrainian national team. I do not expect anything good here. The team has a conflict between the coach and Malinovskyi, a player of Atalanta. Where there is a conflict, there is no result.

France might pick players to give them experience - great players (better than Finland) that need to show their manager that they should be playing. I'll stay optimistic for you 🙂
Malinovskyi's a very talented player but if he's a problem for the manager, then he won't get picked. I watched Dynamo Kyiv against Barcelona a couple of weeks ago and saw plenty of very good Ukranian players. Good enough to replace Malinovskiy 🙂
I must admit you know how to inspire hope. I will hope for the best. I would like to see not only the result, but also the good game of the Ukrainian national team.
Some media write that Malinovskiy will play. Well, let's see.

I only watched the last 20 minutes of England. We were already 7-0 up.
We then scored 3 goals in 5 minutes - one of which was disallowed for no obvious reason. And then another was disallowed because one of the San Marino defenders was too tired to defend and just fell over. I think that the referee felt sorry for them in the end and just started disallowing everything 🤷♀️
