Urenga Ridge – joy for my eyes

Each area has its own beauty. My Chelyabinsk region is located on a plain and in the mountains. It is the low Ural Mountains that are my favorite.

One weekend in October, my husband and I went for a walk in the mountains. To do this, you do not need to be a climber or have special equipment. Normal clothing and trekking poles are enough, at least one. But we didn't even think about them.

We went to the Second (Naked) hill of the Urenga Ridge.

The Urenga ridge is the longest in the Chelyabinsk region, one of the longest ridges in the Southern Urals.
The Second hill has a height of almost 1200 m. But we did not reach the top a little – we were late.

It would be dangerous to be in the mountains, among the wobbly stones, on damp soils in the dark. In addition, a strong wind was blowing overhead.

The photo shows the Third Hill. It is also called Mount Two Brothers. It is slightly higher than 1000 m. Behind it you can see other parts of the Urenga Ridge.

In early October, the weather in Chelyabinsk was relatively warm. And there was already snow in the mountains.

Nevertheless, there were many different ages, from small children to the elderly.

It is painful for me to see that photographs do not convey all the beauty, even a little. 😭
