Today again, a review of colorful handmade crafts that were photographed at one of the fairs.
I really like the painted boxes, under the Palekh miniature. On each of them, the master depicted an interesting fairy-tale plot, which is a pleasure to look at!
There are three heroes from the picture of Viktor Vasnetsov and the well-known Alyonushka, as well as a lot of other bright characters and stories.
Moreover, many boxes have not yet been processed. You can buy them and color them to your taste, or leave them as they are.
I also saw interesting Kuban gift sets. Some are made of polymer clay, others of wood and textiles.
I was impressed by the dishes in the Khokhloma style. I think that it is impossible to imagine Russian folk art without craft, which is admired far beyond the borders of Russia.
Khokhloma painting has become one of the brands, raising the artistic decoration of wooden products to a fairly high level.
In addition, the distinctive feature of these works was the Golden base. Gold could be the background or key elements of the work. It is believed that the Golden color is the very joy of life, wealth and fullness.
This art direction appeared in the 17th century, in the Nizhny Novgorod district. The Volga village of Khokhloma became famous for centuries to come, and it was the craft of painting wooden dishes that developed there that brought glory to the small settlement.
This area is also known by icon painters, so there is even an assumption that the Golden color of Khokhloma wooden dishes is a borrowing of the method of gilding frames in iconography.
