Pollot's artwork typically involves taking thrift shop paintings and adding his own creative elements to them, transforming them into modern and imaginative pieces. It is very impressive so I thought about the origin of this idea. I read his interviews because of exploring the potential influence of Pollot's background in software engineering on his artistic process.

Dave Pollot is a software engineer who has gained a reputation for his unique approach to art within the pop art movement. When I learned that he is the software I was surprised because I was expecting that he is an artist. His artwork typically involves taking thrift shop paintings and adding his own creative elements to them, transforming them into modern and imaginative pieces. I liked this environmentally friendly idea :)

According to Pollot, the idea to turn thrift shop paintings into pop art came about when he was out shopping at a thrift store with his wife. They came across a painting that they both thoughts were terrible, but Pollot's wife suggested that he could turn it into something interesting. This sparked the idea for Pollot to start creating his own art using thrift shop paintings as a starting point. I wish we had such creative and environmentalist ideas for products we don't like ;)

I think it is likely that Pollot's background in software engineering has had an influence on his art. Because software engineering involves problem-solving and creative thinking, skills that are also important in the artistic process. Pollot's technical background may have helped him to develop a unique perspective on his art and to create imaginative and modern pieces.

It is not entirely new to transform old paintings into new works of art. In fact, the practice of reusing and repurposing existing materials in art has a long history. Many artists throughout history have taken existing objects or works of art and transformed them into something new and original. For example, the art movement known as collage involves creating new artworks by piecing together different materials such as newspaper clippings or pieces of other artwork.

I even saw that @worldofxpilar has an engagement challenge about it. I am attaching the link, I believe it will be quite fun if you want to participate :))

While other artists may have used similar techniques, Pollot's specific approach and style make his work stand out. Dave Pollot's work within the pop art movement has garnered attention for its originality and creativity. He also has a website. If you visit it you can see his paintings :)

Oh, but of course!
Artists like to support one another, humans too :o)
Not saying that we (artists) are not human LOL.
What you have done is actually very important for artists. To get inspired from other artists, and get new ideas or ways to see things.
The more, the better!
Waiting for more stuff from you.
