Hi Dear Friends, Christmas is not celebrated as a religion in Turkey, so there is no Christmas tree decoration ritual, which is both religious and cultural. However, in Turkey, just like in many non-Christian countries, the tree is decorated to reflect the symbols of FUN, FAMILY UNITY, and HAPPINESS :) We express our hope, happiness and beauty expectations for the coming New Year with such pleasant events :)
Decorating the tree not only does it bring a sense of cohesion and unity among family members, but it can also be a creative outlet and even spark a sense of adventure.
I think decorating a tree also has a positive impact on psychology :)
One of the key benefits of decorating the tree as a family is the sense of togetherness it brings. The activity encourages family members to work together to plan and execute the decoration of the tree. Also, it creates a sense of unity and collaboration. This is particularly beneficial for families with children, as it helps to teach them the value of teamwork and cooperation. When I notice them, I started the decorated tree at the New Year with my children and our first tree was a rubber tree because we have it in our home :))
Decorating the tree is also a creative event for family members. Choosing and arranging the decorations allows for the expression of individual style and taste. It can be a fun and engaging way to tap into each person's creativity. This can be especially an opportunity for the children to express their creativity.

What I am trying to say is that the process of selecting and purchasing a tree, as well as choosing and arranging the decorations, can be a fun and exciting outing. The anticipation and excitement of transforming a tree into a beautiful, festive display can be a thrill for both adults and children alike ;)

The bright, festive colors and lights of the tree make our mood good and promote feelings of happiness and joy :)
By the way, of course, as with any activity, there can also be potential downsides to decorating the Christmas tree.
We must be careful not to turn this activity into a stressor or a negative situation. Because, for some families, the stress of coordinating the activity and the financial cost of purchasing a tree and decorations can be a source of conflict. It's a good idea to use the same tree every year to avoid excess expenses. And I think you can also decorate large plants in your home, the goal is to create happiness ;)
The activity of decorating the Christmas tree can be a wonderful way for families to come together, express creativity, and experience a sense of adventure. The potential psychological and social benefits make it a worthwhile tradition :)

I love your tree and the stone wall looks great. I agree with you we are also celebrating the family being together around these days and there is nothing religious. Maybe because when we have little children there are a lot of memories of those magic moments on X-mas days that is why for me even now when my son is grown up it is always a reminder of the time when he was little and believed in magic. By the way @serap, try to tag the tag #turkey to your tags as for SCurators they try to cover many countries it will be easy to identify your country.

For me, it's a time to reflect on the year that has passed and to make plans for the year ahead. I also love the wonder of the season and yes, it was special to see our children's excitement during this time of year :)
