My entry for week 140 LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST (Club100)

Hey there fellow steemians!

It's been another day of creating art, as well as another dreary day here in Philadelphia, PA...ecxpet that the Phillies are going to the World Series! I often like these sorts of day. They are very relaxing to me and great when I am going to stay inside burning and painting and crafting anyway. Today, though, I kept thinking of going hiking and being in nature, so it just made natural sense to submit a photo for this contest from a backcountry hiking trip.

A storm was a brewing...

Actually, that's a lie. They storm was already very real and heading north on the eastern side of Monongahela forest. While the skies were dark and the fog thick, the atmosphere was electric. That is @jae5086 in the foreground fully loving the moment. This was about 4 miles from the car and very close to where we would ultimately camp. Despite the threatening skies, it never did rain.

The location was Dolly Sods, West Virginia, USA. It is a plateau and a very different biome than the surrounding area that more resembles the eastern coast of Canada. It's been several years since we've been but the skies are some of the best in the eastern US! I hope you enjoyed the submission. See you next time folks!
