Today’s drawing was inspired by the recent happenings between Nigeria and a company called Zhongsha in China took Nigeria and Ogun state government to court. They won the case in the court of France and was ordered to cease 3 of Nigeria presidential jets been maintained in France and Switzerland until the compensation is been paid.

In fact, the Nigeria investigation agency (NIA) and DSS boss in Nigeria was sacked as a result of lapses that resulted in Nigeria not getting information about the cases in foreign courts that led to the seizure of Nigeria’s assets.

This made me think, what if International Monetary Fund (IMF) decides to come collect the loan we owe them because from the information, Nigeria has reached 100% of the quota meant for us. What will become of the country “Nigeria”, if we can’t pay back?

Normally countries take loans to build infrastructures that will generate more revenue for the country to payback the loans but in Nigeria is a different case. The politicians have taken it to enrich themselves, families and generations yet to be born.

Infact a rumor came up that the money we are owing, if they divide it among the 198 million Nigerians, each of us will be paying up #15,000 each. The government have come out openly to debunk such rumors and the figures are malicious. We just pray that is true even though I find it hard to believe them but one thing is certain my one cent is not going anywhere to service any crazy debt of this country.
