A new week in the contest to travel and the possibility of sharing those photographs of the walks, highlighting the spaces visited and the lessons learned from them. It was only two days, one weekend my daughter had to go to work on Monday.

On the hottest day of August 2021, my daughter took me on a trip to the hometown of my parents and grandparents. We had scheduled this visit in advance, bought the train tickets, but what we did not know was that it was going to be the hottest day in Spain.
So we could not visit many relatives or take the walks we had scheduled in the surroundings, the cousins had us in the pool, meals and indoor meetings.
Seeing that image reminds me of reading Don Quixote, with the madness of Cervantes before the giants and his fight with his companion Sancho.
En el día de agosto más caluroso del 2021 mi hija me llevo de viaje al pueblo natal de mis padres y abuelos. Habíamos programado esa visita con antelación comprado los pasajes del tren, pero lo que no sabíamos era que iba a ser el día más caluroso en España.
Así que no pudimos visitar a muchos parientes o realizar los paseos que teníamos programados en los alrededores, los primos nos tuvieron en piscina, comidas y reuniones bajo techo.
Ver esa imagen me hace recordar la lectura del Quijote, con la locura de Cervantes ante los gigantes y su lucha con su acompañante Sancho.
The restrictions due to the pandemic, wearing a mask, distancing and gatherings with few people were still in place.

The atmosphere was beautiful, seeing my parents' town again was a great emotion. There was a lot of new construction, like the apartments where we stayed with pool facilities.
Seeing the Ope hill so close with the stories my parents told me about the appearance of a strange figure in which he made the people raise a large cross up there to ward off evil spirits.
El ambiente era hermoso, ver otra vez el pueblo de mis padres era una gran emoción. Había muchas construcciones nuevas, como los apartamentos donde nos quedamos con instalaciones de piscina.
Ver tan cerca el cerro Ope con las historias que me contaban mis padres sobre la aparición de una figura extraña en el que hizo que el pueblo subiera una gran cruz allá arriba para alejar los malos espíritus.

Thank you for another great post. Everything looks very picturesque in the photos. But the photos do not convey the heat that you had to experience. I'm sure the pools helped a lot.
