Entramos a un Enero del 2.020 relativamente tranquilo sin ninguna alarma de los que iba a acontecer en los cercanos meses. Estábamos trabajando, haciendo los pedidos para la empresa, tener una despensa que había disminuido con las vacaciones navideñas. Algunas noticias comienzan a llegar desde la lejana China, en los meses siguientes, en poco tiempo le dieron un nombre coronavirus 2019 covid-19.
We entered a relatively quiet January 2020 without any alarms that would occur in the coming months. We were working, placing orders for the company, having a pantry that had diminished with the Christmas holidays. Some news begins to arrive from distant China, in the following months, in a short time they gave it a name coronavirus 2019 covid-19.
Tengo 60 años, la recomendación de mis hijos fue que me quedara en casa, para protegerme de este virus que estaba matando principalmente a los mayores. Soy una persona muy activa quedarme en casa fue al principio bastante divertido, escribí más, atendí mi jardín. Pero alguien tenía que hacer las compras mientras mi hijo trabajaba, así que me ponía el tapabocas y salía a comprar, cuando regresaba me bañaba y lavaba desde la ropa hasta la compra realizada.
I am 60 years old, the recommendation of my children was that I stay at home, to protect myself from this virus that was killing mainly the elderly. I am a very active person staying at home was at first quite fun, I wrote more, I tended my garden. But someone had to do the shopping while my son worked, so I put on my mask and went out to buy, when I returned I bathed and washed everything from the clothes to the purchase made.
El tema de coronavirus pasó a ser lo primero que veíamos en las noticias, su avance rápido a todos los países porque tardaron mucho en cerrar sus fronteras nadie se esperaba esta pandemia declarada a mediados del año. En nuestro país Venezuela realizaron una cuarentena restringida de dos semana y soltaban a la gente dos semanas, solo eran pruebas. La verdad es que le teníamos mucho temor a la enfermedad ya que los servicios hospitalarios estaban muy deficientes.
The issue of coronavirus became the first thing we saw in the news, its rapid advance to all countries because they took a long time to close their borders, no one expected this pandemic declared in the middle of the year. In our country, Venezuela, they conducted a restricted two-week quarantine and released people for two weeks, they were only tests. The truth is that we were very afraid of the disease since the hospital services were very deficient.
Todos centrábamos nuestras miradas a la vacuna tan esperada como forma para detener el mortal virus y volver a la normalidad. El personal médico y sanitario en Venezuela fueron nuestro primer frente en sufrir bajas, empezamos a conocer de personas cercanas en nuestra ciudad, conocidos con una gripecita, pero que nunca se hicieron las pruebas. El mundo comenzó a dar cifras y números de fallecidos fueron muchos y todavía a pocos días de terminar este 2.020 se siguen sumando.
We were all focused on the long-awaited vaccine as a way to stop the deadly virus and get back to normal. The medical and health personnel in Venezuela were our first front to suffer casualties, we began to meet close people in our city, acquaintances with a flu, but who were never tested. The world began to give figures and numbers of deaths were many and still a few days after finishing this 2,020 they are still being added.
Mientras tanto yo me sumaba al juego del diario en su primera, segunda y tercera temporada, llene mi teléfono de fotos diarias, aprendí a tomar fotos a los alimentos que preparaba. El juego del diario se volvió una terapia que me consolaba, veía a otros participantes en su esfuerzo diario por mantener la normalidad con la familia. Leí sus fallas en los servicios de agua, gas, luz e internet y no me sentí sola porque pasaba lo mismo. Se formó un equipo maravilloso con súper mujeres que le pusieron corazón a sus publicaciones a pesar de las fallas de internet, nos comunicábamos todos los días por WhatsApp. Cuando termino la parte de equipo me sentí sola.
Meanwhile I joined the diary game in its first, second and third season, I filled my phone with daily photos, I learned to take photos of the food I prepared. The game of the diary became a therapy that consoled me, I saw other participants in their daily effort to maintain normality with the family. I read their failures in the water, gas, electricity and internet services and I did not feel alone because the same thing happened. A wonderful team was formed with super women who put heart to their publications despite the failures of the internet, we communicated every day on WhatsApp. When I finished the team part I felt alone.

Vi muchas series y películas viejas que antes por falta de tiempo no veía.
Mantenía contacto todos los días con dos de mis hijos que están afuera en España por su juventud los suponía fuera de peligro pero aun así se me ponía algo de angustia por ellos.
The visit of the representatives and curators with their comments encouraged us to continue.
I saw many old series and movies that before due to lack of time I did not see.
I kept in touch every day with two of my children who are out in Spain because of their youth, I supposed them out of danger but even so I felt some anguish for them.
Aparecieron las primeras vacunas muchos tienen temor también a ellas no saben que reacción pueden sufrir.
A esta altura del mes de diciembre, faltando once días, ya tendría preparadas las hallacas navideñas, los pollos e ingredientes comprados para la cena de navidad. Estaría comprando la leche, los huevos y el azúcar para mis tradicionales quesillos que llevo a la casa de mis parientes.
The first vaccines appeared, many are also afraid of them, they do not know what reaction they may suffer.
At this point in December, with eleven days to go, I would have prepared the Christmas Hallecas, the chickens and ingredients purchased for the Christmas dinner. I would be buying milk, eggs and sugar for my traditional cheeses that I take to my relatives' house.
La vacuna no llegara todavía a Venezuela no para la gente común, ya he visto noticias de gobernantes venezolanos ponérselas, nosotros tenemos que esperar.
The vaccine will not reach Venezuela yet, not for ordinary people, I have already seen news of Venezuelan rulers putting them on, we have to wait.
Mis vecinos comienzan a poner navidad, eso alegra la calle, la pone bonita.
Mientras tanto tendré mi mantel navideño especial preparado para colocarlo en mi mesa y preparare los alimentos que estén a mi alcance, disfrutare la alegría de los parientes que nos visiten, los cohetes que lancen los vecinos y la algarabía de los niños en la calle con sus regalos del niño Jesús. Para llegar al día 1 de enero del 2.021 y como decimos los venezolanos, ya matriculamos, que significa ya pasamos de año y estamos vivos.
My neighbors start putting on Christmas, that makes the street happy, it makes it beautiful.
Meanwhile I will have my special Christmas tablecloth ready to place on my table and prepare the food that is within my reach, I will enjoy the joy of the relatives who visit us, the rockets launched by the neighbors and the noise of the children in the street with their gifts from baby Jesus. Hi @sacra97, that was very interesting to read your post. I remember seeing your first posts that were shorter and had less in them. But you have developed yourself very well during this year. Of course I also noticed how active you are now in many communities and in the challenges that is organized by @steemitblog. Steemit became a friend for many who are staying away from masses and this is a little window to connect different people. Hopefully you and your family will stay safe. Thank you very kind words, I now love to take many photos of the activities that I do. It has been a year of great learning, new experiences, and memories. We have learned to take care of ourselves by staying safe, protecting ourselves with masks and washing everything when we get home.
The newspaper game is a great space for everyone, it became a therapy to meet many Venezuelans and other participants from the world, @steemitblog.

Gracias muy amables palabras, me encanta ahora tomar muchas fotos de las actividades que realizo. Ha sido un año de mucho aprendizaje, de experiencias nuevas, de recuerdos. Hemos aprendido a cuidarnos manteniéndonos a salvo, protegiéndonos con tapabocas y lavando todo al llegar a casa.
El juego del diario es un gran espacio para todos, se volvio una terapia para conocer a muchos venezolanos y a otros participantes del mundo.

Hola señora @sacra que gusto leer su publicación, y verla activa como siempre.
Esos quesillo me hicieron agua la boca 🤤 se ven deliciosos. Volviendo al tema del Covid19 me imagino los nervios que debió sentir, uno por tener a sus hijos en unos de los países con más contagios y otro por ser un adulto mayor y ser más vulnerables según los estudios.
Pero esa energía, vitalidad y mantener la mente activa la protegera siempre. Con respecto a la vacuna estoy un poco reacia a usarla pero ya veremos cuando se haga popular.
Me encantó ver su rostro y un pedacito de su hogar, Feliz Navidad. 🤗😘
