Saludos amigos de la comunidad WORLD OF XPILAR y el amigo @adeljose creador del concurso de fotografías que me encanta, por la variedad de temas y estilos.
Esta semana nos ha pedido que las fotos sean de Sillas, Taburetes y/o Mesas.
He capturado algunas en el parque y otras en mi hogar, espero que disfruten de las fotografías tanto como me divertí yo atrapándolas y contándoles lo que se sobre ellas.

Desde el parque hasta mi casa
Hoy salí a caminar al parque Andrés Bello, no me sentía con buen animo pero la caminata me hizo sentirme mejor. Cuando estaba a la altura del parque infantil recordé el concurso al ver los taburetes de cemento en el parque, las mesas ya no están; tal vez robadas, rotas eso no lo sabremos por ahora, pero si recuerdo que as personas y vecinos se reunían allí a jugar ajedrez, domino o realizaban la fiesta infantil los sábados o domingo. En las mesas veías la torta, los refrescos y las comidas y en los taburetes hasta dos niños sentados al mismo tiempo compartiéndolo, esperando tu plato de torta y quesillo.
Quien recuerda las sillas de mimbres en los patios o porches de las casas. Las de mi hogar tienen años, pero cada cierto tiempo había que llevarlas a renovarlas por personas que las tejían con buenos materiales. Cada vez se volvía más costoso y teníamos muchas sillas y también mecedoras.
Debo haber visto la idea en alguna revista, le habían soldado tiras o plantillas a lo largo de donde iba el tejido. Y nos pareció una excelente idea y de muy larga duración. Teníamos el taller, las maquinas de soldaduras y solo compramos las plantillas. Más o menos calculamos cuantas hacían falta, midiendo los espacios entre la silla. Uno de los muchachos del taller experto herrero se encargo de realizar el trabajo y las soldaduras.
Yo me encargue de pintarlas. Mi mamá experta costurera creyó que iban a ser muy duras para sentarse, así que elaboro unos cojines con tela reversible e impermeable de la que aguanta sol y agua, le coloco unos amarres externos que facilitaban que no se cayeran de su lugar.
¿Que les pareció la idea? Esas sillas tienen más de 40 años de uso, la mecedora me encanta. Cuando se va la luz salgo para el patio y allí disfruto un buen rato.

From the park to my house
Today I went for a walk in Andrés Bello Park, I wasn't feeling in good spirits but the walk made me feel better. When I was at the playground I remembered the contest when I saw the cement stools in the park, the tables are no longer there; Maybe stolen, broken, we won't know for now, but I do remember that people and neighbors would gather there to play chess, dominoes or have a children's party on Saturdays or Sundays. On the tables you saw the cake, the soft drinks and the meals and on the stools even two children sitting at the same time sharing it, waiting for your plate of cake and cheese.
Who remembers the wicker chairs on the patios or porches of houses. The ones in my home are years old, but from time to time they had to be renovated by people who wove them with good materials. It was getting more and more expensive and we had a lot of chairs and also rocking chairs.
I must have seen the idea in some magazine, they had welded strips or templates along where the fabric went. And we thought it was an excellent idea and very long lasting. We had the workshop, the welding machines and we only bought the templates. We more or less calculated how many were needed, measuring the spaces between the chair. One of the boys from the expert blacksmith workshop was in charge of doing the work and the welding.
I was in charge of painting them. My mother, an expert seamstress, thought they were going to be very hard to sit on, so she made some cushions with reversible, waterproof fabric that can withstand sun and water, and I placed some external ties that made it easier for them not to fall from their place.
What did you think of the idea? Those chairs have been used for more than 40 years, I love the rocking chair. When the power goes out I go out to the patio and enjoy a good time there.

Estas sillas y taburetes guardan muchas historias, las plazas siempre suelen tener estos asientos para el disfrute de la gente, lamentablemente algunas personas no los cuidan ni valoran. La idea es excelente.

Hay recuerdos de vivencias en esa primera, es el reflejo de que alguna vez hubo algo más allí con esos taburetes.
Esos mimbres capturados me recuerdan a los de mi tía. También optó por hacerle eso a los suyos. Son eternos diría yo pero así de hierro. Ya que como dices el tejido había que renovarlo.
