UNITED FACE OF VS BURNLEY AT THE OLD TRAFFORD.

Am not a huge fan of United but I have a soft spot for them, so it kind of hurts me when you know they can do better and they are only messing up. Their last game against Newcastle a few days ago was a disappointment. With their full squad and important players back from injury they couldn’t go ahead and win the game. I must admit that Newcastle vs United has never been an easy match even though they mostly come being the winners with lots of goals.

Now to the match for today. United vs Burnley. An encounter which looks rather easy for United on paper but we all United will stress it and make it look rather difficult.

The sad part about the way United play is that you actually know how Ragnick wants them to play but it’s hard to see them trying to implement it. Against Newcastle they couldn’t even press the Newcastle players as they were allowed to look up and pick up long balls and put the long balls into dangerous areas which really surprised me. With the quality United have upfront they were unable to score in the first half after falling behind in the opening 10 minutes.

Burnley are currently In a relegation battle and winning a fixture of this calibre at the old Trafford will be a nice one for them in their fight to stay in the premier league. They are currently 18th just one point from Norwich who are last and they have the same points with Newcastle. A Newcastle that was able to dictate to United how they wanted they to play and they obliged.

Out of their 15 games played they have only been able to win 1, drawn 8 and lost 6. Looking at this Burnley are closer to a draw than a win against United. And United are closer to a loss than a draw. I wouldn’t wish for United to loose or draw as it will cause a major upset for them in their fight for a top 4 finish.

I think for that to work Ragnick needs to step up and make changes to the line up. The midfield the other day didn’t do the job as expected so I would expect to see changes. Some of the players at the top weren’t committed as much there should be changes made there too and let’s go win this and stop giving excuses.

United disappointments all the time for that reason I would be looking at a draw but with Ronaldo in a team it’s never finished until you hear the final whistle. Let’s wait and see.
