A few summers ago, I hosted a going away fundraiser/party for an artist/teacher friend relocating to Austin, Texas. In respect to the troubles experienced this week (and beyond) by Lone Star State residents, I post a few of the paintings I auctioned for that occasion. There were 29 total. I am happy to say that several sold at auction (see reserve sheet below). I raised $632 for his trip. He hasn’t returned, so things are probably going well for him:)

Dan Paintings
I began these on April 1st, or thereabouts. An appropriate fool’s attempt at acquiring a small fortune for our friend before he embarks on the greatest odyssey ever known. The titles are printed, and next to each one is a number referring to a specific reserve marker. That means, no bids below the designation, please.
- A fast food stop for Dan and son $16
- A campsite for night and one bundle firewood $26.00
- A full tank of unleaded gasoline plus two bottled waters and muffin for Rufus $36
Also, Dan has graciously offered a bottle of his homemade country wine for any painting that brings in over $35

That is a great gesture for your friend and I am pretty sure it was fun for you too to see what of the painting will go away and what not. Hopefully your friend is doing well. As always wonderful works Ron :)
