"Therapy Librarian" escapes the cold.

I ´m so happy to share with you some great news!
As might already you know I really like @ronthroop ´s art . Both my husband Jason and I have become great fans of his work and specially we fell in love with one piece called Therapy Librarian . We contacted him to ask for the price and if it was possible to have it sent over to Spain and it all went really smoothly and easy. I guess Ron Throop sent it off last week and this morning I was surprised by the postwoman with a nice big package from the US.. yes! Its for ussss! yipiieee!
I waited for Jason (@ibizaki on Steemit) to return to open it with him but just by chance he came over with our friend Xavi (also on Steemit by @xaviduran), so he was also there for the excitement of opening the package.

The card... this painting has left this cold climate to come and live with us in our lovely mediterranean mild winter. :-)

And... finally! the real one! Face to face with the real art work "Therapy Librarian"....so wonderful to see the real piece. It´s just so different to see photos of an art work than to see the real one! I can´t emphasize this point enough.

So, while we took this picture the meal was cooking and we gathered to have lunch on our terrace and talk and admire this new member of our household.

It was a pity that @silviadiez was missing from this impromptu event, we would have completed the circle.

I have been travelling to the Us for the past 26 years and I have never gone East yet, I have various reasons to do so but still never made it over that side. Who knows! If you care for a visit to our little mediterranean spot you are always welcome also!

Oh, I get a rush of medulla juice when I see someone react to my painting. I don’t know why, but it is definitely born of some childhood arrested development. Will the adults like my crayon drawing of a boat?

The second I saw your photo with my painting in it, I had to walk away from the computer to process.
I think it’s because of the monetary transaction and the concept of debt—Can (should) anything I make or do be worth a centime to another?
Of course! But the child in me flees and fights with the nagging conscience repeating, “It’s never good enough!”
Coming back to the screen a grown up with decades of training in how to handle praise and positivity, the adrenaline settles to shocked, to flabbergasted, to proud, to happy, and finally, to connected. I lost a pound and my heart raced, but worth it to see so much meat in your post. We have made the connection, and now you and Jason are stuck with a neurotic part of me for as long as the two of you can stand it:)

YES... so exciting to receive your art. We still haven´t hung it up in its proper place yet. He makes us smile every time we look at him! Thank you! By the way.... there is a small crack in one corner of the glass but it hardly shows. You were quite risky sending it framed!
When it’s time for me to buy one of your paintings, just add a few euros to asking price:)
