Hi Steemians,
here is Illustration 2 of the book The Serendava.
These illustrations I painted back in 2020 for the book-game I have created over the past 2 years. I now have the prototype mounted and will be looking for a publisher this Autumn when I finish my Summer job that takes up a lot of time.
The Serendava is the name I have given to this book of Labyrinths for children to use. Now I will only be sharing one painting at a time on each post so that one can be taken into the details and travel the images. Once I have shared with you the 16 images I will then make a post on how this book will be used.
I want these images to be in the Blockchain. I think it´s important.
This first Image is the first Labyrinth that can be travelled though on the paths and steps.

In this Labyrinth as the child follows the root paths there is the possibility to add and take away as he or she advances. A way of introducing a little bit of Maths.

How do you even do it? So many fine details in one drawing. How long does it usually take you for a painting?
It´s hard to calculate how ling each painting takes. I was working on this project of 16 illustration over the course of a year. During a few months I was able to dedicate between 6 and 10 hours a day. It has taken a long time. :-)

I feel rewarded just by being able to spend my time in that way. It´s not always possible.

I see leaves that look like eyes, I see small doors, a lamp, a lizard maybe, a frog, scissors, UFO!! A whole lot.. it's like one of those things that you only see in a dream
When I finish uploading the last one of these 16 illustrations I will explain how to use it and you will understand why there are so many details. Right now I just would like people to enjoy the images as such and see what they suggest. Thank you for taking your time to look into it! Best Wishes!
