KIDS ART CLASSES IN ENGLISH IN LOCAL SCHOOLS.

this morning I was reminded by fb about something I worked on 6 years ago. I loved looking back at the pictures and seeing the children so small, being used to seeing them much older now.

I have worked with children´s art classes since 2003 and have never stopped. I love working with them through art. I find them truly inspiring and honest.
In this case I was hired by three small rural schools with whom I have worked many times giving art classes in english. They are called "escoles Unitarias" meaning that there is only three classes to a whole primary school an the ages are mixed. The education is quite creative. They aren´t private. They are state schools that are left over from a time when Ibiza was much smaller. The teachers who like to work there are also special.
Anyway, they asked me that year if I could work on a mural project with the children.
One school wanted to work on the decoration of their fence putting painted wooden houses, similar to the traditional local houses.

Then, we worked on a series of Invented plants mural. Each child designed their own weird plant.

Then in the other school we worked on a mural to decorate the entrance of the school

I really enjoyed this and had forgotten about it in a while.
