The last few days the weather has been very hot. It will be more pronounced when we fast. Yes, in this month of Ramadan fasting is accompanied by very hot weather. But we have to remember that fasting is worship so we can't just give up and break the fast. Yes to...
We have to overcome these hot conditions so we can continue our activities. Don't let hot conditions like this cause work to be delayed or even failed. It's true... heat makes us tend to want to relax and not do routine work activities. But like it or not, we have to keep working to earn a living.
Keep working by paying attention to situations such as the current heat. If we are not aware it can result in things that disturb our bodies. The further impact can be a decrease in work ethic or even illness.
Let's pay attention when it's hot like this, the body automatically adjusts by producing sweat. The sweat that comes out makes the body temperature drop and makes you feel more comfortable.
However, if excessive sweating is not balanced with fluid intake, it can result in dehydration, dizziness, and even fainting. Lack of body fluids disrupts metabolism. Lack of fluids also makes blood vessels enlarge so that blood pressure becomes lower, making us feel dizzy. So we shouldn't take hot weather like this lightly.
How to overcome
There are several tips that we can do to deal with heat while fasting.
1. Enough water
Drinking water is certainly one solution to dealing with heat. When fasting, don't drink it during the day. Then the fast will be canceled. Drink enough water at dawn. Drinking water before Imsak or at the end of sahur can fulfill your needs for a full day.
2. Reduce outdoor activities
Hot weather makes our skin burn in the sun. We will easily feel thirsty. During fasting, of course this becomes a challenge for us. To overcome this, we must reduce direct exposure to sunlight. Choose a slightly shady place, such as under a shady tree
3. Bright colored clothing
The color of clothing also has an influence because color determines heat absorption capacity. Dark colors like black absorb heat very easily. Bright colors like white tend to reflect heat. By wearing bright colors we will reduce the heat that hits the body.
4. Clothing materials absorb sweat
Choosing clothes made from light materials that absorb sweat is certainly a logical choice. Wearing cotton clothes will certainly feel more comfortable than wearing nylon clothes which do not absorb sweat.
5. Take a shower
Taking a shower or bath will make your body feel fresher. But remember, don't shower while your body is still sweating. Can be dangerous for body health. When the sun has rolled to the west, bathing without sweating will make us more comfortable and we can continue fasting until breaking the fast.
Keep the spirit of fasting even though the weather is hot, hopefully it will be a charity accepted by Allah SWT.

Dari kondisi panas ini kita harus menyiasati sehingga bisa terus beraktivitas. Jangan sampai keadaan panas seperti ini ikut membuat pekerjaan jadi tertunda apalagi gagal. Memang sih... panas membuat kita cenderung ingin bersantai dan tidak melakukan aktivitas pekerjaan rutin. Tapi khan mau tidak mau kita harus tetap bekerja untuk mengais rezeki.
Tetaplah bekerja dengan memperhatikan situasi seperti panas saat ini. Jika kita tidak aware bisa berakibat hal-hal yang menggangu tubuh kita. Dampak lebih jauhnya bisa menurunkan etos kerja atau bahkan sakit.
Coba kita perhatikan saat panas seperti ini tubuh otomatis menyesuaikan diri dengan mengeluarkan keringat. Keringat yang keluar membuat suhu badan turun dan jadi terasa lebih nyaman.
Namun, jika keringat berlebihan tidak diimbangi dengan cairan yang masuk bisa berakibat dehidrasi, pusing, bahkan pingsan. Kekurangan cairan tubuh membuat metabolisme terganggu. Kekurangan cairan juga membuat pembuluh darah membesar sehingga tekanan darah jadi lebih rendah sehingga membuat kita merasa pusing. Jadi kita tidak boleh menganggap sepele cuaca panas seperti ini.
Cara Mengatasi
Ada bebera tip yang bisa kia lakukan untuk mengatasi panas saat sedang berpuasa.
1. Air putih yang cukup
Minum air putih tentu jadi salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi panas. Saat berpuasa minumnya ya jangan siang hari. Nanti batal deh puasanya. Minumlah air putih yang cukup saat sahur. Minum air putih menjelang imsak atau di akhir waktu sahur bisa mencukupi kebutuhan sehari penuh.
2. Kurangi aktivitas di luar ruangan
Cuaca panan membuat kulit kita akan terbakar sinar matahari. Kita akan dengan mudah terasa haus. Pada saat puasa tentu ini jadi tantangan bagi kita. Untuk mengatasinya kita harus mengurangi terpaan sinar matahari secara langsung. Pilihlah tempat yang agak teduh, seperti di bawah pohon yang rindang
3. Pakaian warna cerah
Warna pakaian juga berpengaruh sebab warna menentukan daya serap kalor. Warna yang gelap seperti hitam sangat mudah menyerap panas. Warna cerah seperti putih cenderung memantulkan panas. Dengan memakai warna cerah kita akan mengurangi panas yang mendera tubuh.
4. Bahan pakaian menerap keringat
Memilih pakaian berbahan ringan dan menyerap keringat tentu jadi pilihan logis. Dengan memakai baju berbahan katun tentu akan terasa lebih nyaman dibandingkan kita mengenakan baju berbahan nilon yang tidak menyerap keringat.
5. Mandi
Mandi atau berendam akan membuat badan terasa lebih segar. Tapi ingat, jangan mandi saat badan masih berkeringat. Bisa berbahaya bagi kesehatan badan. Saat matahari sudah bergulir ke arah barat mandi dalam keadaaan badan tidak berkeringat akan menjadikan kita lebih nyaman dan bisa melanjutkan puasa hingga berbuka.
Tetap semangat berpuasa meski cuaca terasa panas ya, semoga jadi amal yang diterima oleh Allah SWT.
