Sailing is an invigorating sport
that offers many rewards, not the least of which is that it’s simply so much fun. Imagine white sails billowing against a clear sky, the brisk feel of the breeze on your face, and the gentle motions of the boat as it cleanly slices through the water. Sailing aficionados often say that sailing is more than a sport—it’s a lifestyle.
The fortuna and the mare marieke on the way to the inland seas in the Netherlands. It was a wonderful day, great wind, lovely weather and this view on some really nice boats with friends on board. What to want more?
The Maxima sails where others cant. Due to the set up of this boat she sails where others are motoring. Once she literally sailed a 360 around us and went further just for fun. A very fast vessel! And I love the photo because it really resembles the owners skill and willingness to push things!
This is sort of a normal snap shot in Dutch waters. Could be any day - any time - and thats what I like about it =)
On a sunday morning the fleet moves back to mainland. If we have some northerlies you can see a sight like this!
Philip on the whelm tries to over take us and he had success. *Grummel! But none the less, its always fun to battle out the best strategie, set up and direction. Once we are in the harbor, we chill and drink a beer and just have a good time! :)

When I think about Netherlands then the sailing boats and endless water. Now when summer is approaching we usually travel via Amsterdam to Germany. I really miss it.
