Brooklyn Bridge Sketch - Ran Art Blog - CITYSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #146
Brooklyn Bridge sketch with graphite pencils.
While I usually like drawing or painting super accurate, in a realistic style, sometimes it is fun to sketch.

Greetings friend @ranartblog
I find this drawing really impressive, I would have liked to see the progress of how you are achieving it. It is important to learn from the masters.
The most important is the structure. You must be accurate.
I usually draw from left to right, so not to smudge (I am right handed).
But, here I had to draw from right to left, because I wanted to make sure I get the face correctly.
Basically, it is all brightness values.
There are no lines in nature, so no lines in realistic drawing.
If you have any question, always feel free to ask.
Here is my guide for realistic drawing, if you are interested:

It feels like I've been to Brooklyn :). A complete sense of presence.
I used to love painting with birch charcoal but, that was almost forty years ago, it will be necessary to remember it.
The beauty of drawing, is that you do not need much. Just a piece of paper and a pencil.
And, years of experience, and tons of knowledge, just kidding :)
