Agapanthus flower - Ran Art Blog
My latest drawing of an Agapanthus flower.
From my guide on how to draw flowers.
I drew this flower with colored pens.
It looked a bit dull, so I drew over it with colored pencils.
I do like drawing with different mediums.
Here is an example with a pen.
Colored pens are great too.
In addition to flowers, any type of plant is great.
Here is an example of a mushroom.
If you are starting out, start with something simple.
Use reference images from websites like Unsplash.com, Pexels.com, and Pixabay.com, which let you download images that are free to use.
Once you are ok with a simple flower, try to draw something more complex, with paying attention to foreshortening.
It is more interesting.
You can draw a carpet of flowers.
And color it black, for added contrast.
The more you practice, the more realistic your flowers will be.
You can use colored paper.
Here is the latest flower again.

This reminds me I should probably have more flowers in my yard. Great drawings as always @ranartblog.
Thank you very much.
Having a garden/yard is nice. Though, insects come to flowers :o)
