A close up magnified picture of the human skin. The skin is the largest organ in the human body and a very important one for many reasons few amongst which are protection against invasion by germs and foreign microscopic bodies, thermoregulation and excretion of excess salts.

Take note of the hairs very important in heat conservation although they seem insignificant.
