This is how the platform of the 'Lenin Library' Tube station looks like - one of the oldest stations in Moscow; the station was opened on May 15, 1935.

The station is decorated with a mosaic portrait of V.I. Lenin, the founder of the Soviet state and the architect of the 1917 revolution.

It's fun to visit the real Tube - the setting of the "Moscow 2034" novel, which takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where Moscow lies in atomic ruins... I think that if you don't know Russian and haven't read the book, you probably could play a videogame based on this novel. (By the way, the game was created by a Ukrainian game development studio). Some of the most poignant impressions I got from it, "plunging into the thick of people's life" - a shanty-town at the 'Tretiakovskaya' station, where from fragments of phrases one may learn about the folk's bitter life in the new world after their old world was destroyed. Do you think people have learned something, the shit has disappeared from the world somehow? nothing like this! Society again is ruled by bandits who hunt for pre-war biological weapons, and having received it, initiate a terrific war again. God, why are people like this?! they are born into this world innocent, but then they learn to make shit, with the same inevitability as a newborn duckling finds a water. "Everyone attended the lessons, but why did you, bitch, turn out to be the first student?!"

Забавно посетить реальное метро -- место действия книги "Moscow 2034", действие которой происходит в пост-апокалиптическом мире, где Москва лежит в атомных руинах... я думаю что если вы не знаете русского языка и не читали книгу, то наверное могли играть в созданную по мотивам этой новеллы игру. (Кстати, игру создала украинская геймдев-студия). Несколько самых острых впечатлений я получил, "погружаясь в гущу народной жизни" - палаточный городок, где из обрывков фраз ты узнаешь как горько живется людям в новом мире, после того как был разрушен их старый мир. Вы думаете, люди чему-то научились, говно куда-то исчезло из мира? ничего подобного! Обществом снова правят бандиты, которые охотятся за старым биологическим оружием, и получив его, снова стартуют войну. Господи, почему люди делают это?! они рождаются в мир невинными, но потом научаются делать говно, с такой же неизбежностью, как новорожденный утенок находит воду. "Всех учили, но почему ты, скотина, оказался первым учеником?!"
