I painted Lionel Messi pop art style!

Hello! It’s been a while. Who missed me? I’ve been doing some experimental work, exploring new techniques and media.

I’ve tried pop art a couple times before and I’m looking to master it better now. Here’s a painting of Lionel Messi the Argentine soccer legend that I made last week

It was done with acrylic on canvas. First I did an under painting with some brown paint and a lot of water. This sets a nice base for more color to sit on. Then I sketched out the face with a brush.

I also tried to represent the club he’s mostly known with and also his country.
