Contest: portrait art contest.
Introduction
Welcome to another amazing "portrait and photography art contest" introduced by @axeman, today I will be making a drawing of a male portrait using graphite on cardboard stay tune as I list and explain the steps in achieving it.
Step1
I am going to make my drawing using a half imperial cardboard, so the first thing I did was to make the sketch of the drawing and then observe the proportion and then ensure that the work drawn is balance.
Step2
I then stat to apply shade to it using my grahite, this process requires time and patience is not something you rush over so to ensure a better representation of the picture, as you can see here in this picture that I am so dedicated and carefull so I won't make mistake.
Make sure that the reference picture is well placed and observed properly, and any details done should be what I see not what I think that the reason for having a reference picture to guide me to achieve it.
Step3
Make sure that when you feel that you are getting tired, you rest a little so that your brain can work properly and to avoid you trying to rush over it.
In making an art work, starting is something no doubt but the main an very important is how to finish it, so no matter how your work is, in other to have an excellent work you need to finish your work well by making it neat an clean.
