Hello my dear Steemians,

This is the new account “Planetwild” by @stef1 and @myskye. This account is about collecting Steem for the PlanetWild project. That's why I'm going to post once a day. Everything we get together here (Steem, SBD, SP) goes to the project. Then let's see what we can do here...

Today I would like to show you a few focus stacking photos. In addition to landscape photography, I also love experimenting with this technique.

I always use my Olympus OM-D camera for this work because it has special built-in functions for stacking. This makes everything a little bit easier and you don't need quite as much time as with another cameras. The Olympus OM-D cameras offers a range of features such as advanced image stabilization, fast auto-focus, and excellent image quality in a compact and lightweight body.

Focus stacking

Focus stacking, also known as image stacking or photo stacking, is a technique used in photography to combine multiple images taken at different focal points to create a final image with greater depth of field and sharpness. This method is particularly useful in macro photography or in situations where the subject is not fully in focus in a single shot. By merging the in-focus areas of each image, a final composite image is achieved with improved clarity and detail.

In order to combine all the photos into one, you need a photo editing software. This can be Photoshop or the one supplied by Olympus. I personally use Zerene Stacker for my work.

The number of photos needed for focus stacking, can vary depending on the subject and desired outcome. Generally, it is recommended to capture multiple images at different focal points to ensure all areas of the subject are in focus when combined. A typical range can be anywhere from 5 to 80 images, but it's important to experiment and adjust based on the specific details of your composition.

Lovely macros :) Cheers :)

Thank you my friend :-)

I recently found out about this. And now I have purchased a new camera, which also has a similar function. I will study and experiment.

Then have fun with your new camera, and maybe we'll see your first results here on Steem soon.

Yes, I will start a series of stories about the new camera soon and I will exhibit photos from it)

Nice capture, i really like all the photo...I was wondering what lens did you used to capture this amazing photo..
I'm was one of Olympus User before, i have had OMD EM5 mark 1 and also EPL1. I really missed the Olympus Color, it's different with other camera like Canon, Nikon or Fuji..The Vibrant is really good Straight out of camera

Thanks for your nice comment. For the macros I used the small Olympus 30mm 1:3.5 Macro ED MSC.

Oh nice, I like the sharpness of this lens..
