Lets eat at a number 1 seafood restaurant boasting wonderful sea views. So here we are in coastal Cromer in East Anglia, Norfork county.

Crab burger with Marie Rose sauce and gherkins in a toasted brioche bun. This feast costs £12.50 and according to me is worth every penny.

You can even save few pounds if you take away the tasty seafood and eat it outside at the still comfortable picnic tables and benches right on the beach.

The north Norfolk seaside town of Cromer has of course much more to offer than just a delicious meal. It overlooks a fine sandy beach which is another reason why many flock here on a warm sunny day (hopefully one of many this year!). Cromer was developed into a significant resort by the late Victorians when the fresh healthy sea breeze was much sought after.

Cromer is a nowadays a traditional seaside town, situated on a clifftop. The Pier has survived despite damage over the years and is a grade two listed structure. Here you can find a Lifeboat Station and a Pavilion Theatre which still stages shows especially in summer.

Bagot goats maintain the cliff face here in Cromer by reducing the levels of unwanted vegetation in a green, ecological manner. Bagot is Britain’s oldest breed of goat and unlike many which favour mountains, it developed in the English lowlands. These goats are hardy, easy to tame and are very popular with tourists and residents. The animals are small to medium size and have long hair, a distinctive black and white pattern and an ebony head and neck. Both sexes have large, curving horns.

But you are here on holiday, so leave the goats do their job and head to your beach hut down the promenade. Cromer like many other coastal towns and resorts here in England features plenty of colourful beach huts. Some are privately-owned while others are available for rent or sale. The huts are in such a high demand that waiting lists with a non refundable deposit are common.

If you live further away from the Norfolk coast and a day trip here doesn't make much sense, do not worry as there are plenty of options for accommodation available, from budget self catering to luxurious cottages where even meals are provided. The earlier you book the better and cheaper it will be, with prices starting from £29 a night for a double room.
