Friday Night Out
I personally doubt that many of you here have been to St Albans, England 🏴 so let me show you around!
St Albans is an area that recently became quite popular amongst young professionals who are happy to move out of London but still have to be close by in order to commute to their offices, luckily not daily anymore.
Thameslink trains take you to St Albans and back to the city seven days a week.
The trains, of course busy and sometimes delayed in the morning rush hour, are quite clean, air-conditioned and have complimentary Wi-Fi.
The journey from Cricklewood for example which is in North West London, to St Albans takes just 20 minutes. It costs 81.50 Steem or £12 for two with a two together rail card.
You also don’t even have to buy and collect tickets as you can just tap on your way in and then out of the stations.
We headed straight to the Mad Squirrel There are quite a few beers and ciders on tap to choose from. The Roadkill, a New England IPA seems to be a favourite of many.
Once you get your preferred pint, just make yourself comfortable in the beer garden on site. They also do food, pizzas and fantastic chicken wings.
We didn’t order food here as we had a table booked at the Craft & Cleaver where we treated ourselves to burgers, complimented by a bottle of wine.
A guy from work recommended us this place and we are quite happy that we had dinner here. They do fun shots too to get the evening started! I went for a bourbon with pickle juice chaser.
Then we went to another pub where we had a few of my favourite Southern Comfort with lemonade before catching a train back to the city after midnight.
Keep an eye on the timetable before heading to the station so you don’t end up waiting there for an hour. We didn’t.
I hope in my heart of hearts that you all are having a fun weekend too! Have you got anything exciting planned?
You're absolutely right. I'm unlikely to visit there.
What a big burger! Did you eat it?
I'm looking for you, looking for you. There are no messages from you. And you go to interesting places, eat delicious, drink delicious drinks
I finished it all! Didn't have pudding though. I am a bit of a party animal, once a week at least. It is the summer holiday season here really and I love to make the most of it. It is also that time of the year when I do my best to capture more fresh content. I am also about to go on a few weeks holiday in Canada so keep an eye out for some travel and wildlife related posts of mine. How's the orca life treating you?
Is this called "pudding"? Isn't it "A hamburger (or burger for short)"?
Orca's life is a responsibility. It is necessary to properly dispose of the trusted force and still think - write a report.
Where are you going to Canada? Saskatchewan? We have a representative of this area - @brittilicious
When we say pudding we mean dessert! It's just a British English way of saying it. I advise you to start listing articles worth including in your report so you don't have to do it all at once as it may take longer than you think. I know that @brittilicious is based in Canada and I do follow her. My family and I are arriving in Vancouver, on the west coast, she's in the middle of the country. Then we will drive to Whistler, a popular all year around resort, then visit Kelowna and spend Canada Day there, the 1st of July and last but not least end the trip in Golden. Then we will fly back to Heathrow from Calgary. On a separate note Bitcoin started to rise which already affected Steem, SBD and TRX. The best is yet to come hopefully!
ok!
But the specifics are lost.
We usually always specify the dessert dish.
Yes. I know that. We always need to multiply by 2 when we think about time.
I also noticed the growth of bitcoin. It pleases. But I don't think it's really growth already. It's not spring yet, it's a thaw during the crypto winter.
By the way. Canada is great. Well, what about visiting the Russian Federation?
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
I don't know how the drinks would be and I've always liked wine, but those hamburgers look delicious, in my city you really enjoy great hamburgers, both street and gourmet, it looks like a very nice place to enjoy.
Happy weekend!
Greetings and success!
Great surroundings you share with us in your publication. The cover photo whetted my appetite hahaha I hope you enjoyed that great burger.
I love your photos, I feel like I travel with you. 😄💫
