#club5050 Ride A Horse Home

Greetings from Rothwell, England where I will celebrate New Year’s Eve. A walk around here in the outskirts of this historical market town became a tradition for my family.

The weather over here is quite warm now about 17 degrees Celsius during the day. So a walk by the fields listening to the birds tweet whilst watching three chubby pheasants take off does make a nice random outing.

Many British garden birds love hanging around here near the allotments where they are never short on nibbles.

A gaggle of geese roam around the pond just opposite. They make me feel like I am in a Brothers Grimm fairy tale.

The gypsy horses remind me of Cinderella’s carriage. If you lack a bit of imagination just picture Central Park in New York City based on your last visit.

The Gypsy Vanner horse has a calm nature and it is easily paired with both beginner and advanced children and adult equestrians. A long full mane and tail are common for this gorgeous animal. They both require extra care and grooming.

The gypsy horses are well looked after, as you can see they have plenty of hay to munch on. The rain just stopped, the sky was still quite on the dark side but there was plenty of natural light being reflected in the hay bales and the red, false brick farm house in the back.

The horses are quite pleasant and well behaved and they can’t be less interested in the people around, including myself the local photographer.

So now I leave you to enjoy my photographs for a bit longer and I will go and get the goose out of the freezer ready for tomorrow. Don’t worry it is none of those I photoed, it came all the way from France.

Eat, drink, be merry and decide on your priorities for next year 2022!

Les das mis saludos también amiga jajaja 😆
Ten un lindo día ☺️

Those are beautiful photography and place is awesome to take them. Really you are blessed with places as you get to see them open like this as here not spaces as lots of population and thus building too. This kind of place also give positivity and joy to see natural beauty.

Happy New Year!
Do you have New Year, Christmas holidays? How long have they been going? From what to what date?
By the way, this is a working heavy breed of horses! We have our own breed of horses in the region - the Vyatka horse. But nowadays it's rare to see a horse.

Happy New Year 🥳 The Vyatka horses are gorgeous! Christmas Eve is not even a bank holiday here. Christmas Day is the main family holiday. We also have Boxing Day on 26th December which is the best day of the year if you are in town and decide to hit the shops as pretty much everything is on sale. This year as 25th and 26th December fell on a weekend, we got Monday and Tuesday off, so we were back at work on 29th December for the last three working days of 2021. My company allowed us to work till 2pm only on both 24 and 31 December which I do appreciate as it gave me more time to get ready for the special dinners. Today was my first day back at work after a bank holiday Monday. You actually inspired me by being interested in our holidays and traditions. Therefore I decided on my next post which will be about a traditional gift that we exchange over here during the festive season.

Thank you for such a detailed answer.

I will be happy to read your post about the holidays and your gifts.
The fact is that such traditions were discontinued during the Soviet era. And now people just don't know how to celebrate Christmas properly.
A holiday of gifts? Brilliant! But why is it coming after Christmas?
I read the description of the holiday. I understood why it happens on this particular day!
