#club5050 Pretzels 🥨

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

I usually refrain from using emojis, especially in the title of an article but the pretzel’s is ever so realistic. It is simply like a miniature Alice In Wonderland party style pretzel which could be equally or even more delicious.

To me they look like smiley faces. It is a bit of a long shot but I also find them sort of resembling a heart. I assure you they make a fantastic breakfast in bed which some of you might decide to consider for Monday, 14th February.

If you have been to Germany, maybe even lived there for a while or have a German friend you undoubtedly have had pretzels more than once from your local bakery. Yes, that corner, independent shop which is worth queuing for even when you are running late for work.

The smell of freshly baked goods is irresistible to even the passersby who are in the area for the first time. Pretzels are sold even at the train stations in Germany so it is ever so easy to grab and munch on one on the go.

I like eating and sometimes cooking at home and I enjoy baking especially savoury treats. So it goes without saying that I have baked pretzels myself for a brunch over the weekend. The dough is quite fiddly to make and it even needs boiling before baking. Seriously, yes but don’t worry, this is not an endless recipe post.

You can buy frozen German style pretzels including a packet of the traditional to sprinkle on top sea salt. Please go easy on the salt as I don’t know why but it comes in large quantities.

There are a few popular foods to have pretzels with. Baked French Camembert is my favourite. You can add sprigs of rosemary or garlic cloves for extra flavour. Some fresh crudités are ideal to dip in the cheese too. But if you took Veganuary seriously and haven’t had enough of it yet just go for your preferred choice of hummus. I for example enjoy best a red pepper or Moroccan style.

I like your pretzels, your photos and the way you talk about food. I nominate your post for Nomination Day 60.

Good evening my friend @o1eh Thank you ever so much for nominating my post for the #wox-bestpick initiative! You made me smile tonight! I appreciate your fantastic feedback and support which are why the WORLD OF XPILAR is my number one community that I daily contribute to. I am pleased that you like how I talk about food as this is something important to me with a cook book deal being a dream of mine. I know it might sound a bit of a cliche but my book would include only my own photographs and it will also have lots on grow your own and forage for the ingredients. On a separate note I see Steem going up a bit in value and I really hope it keeps on rising which will probably even motivate our fellow Steemians to be more active here on the platform. Cheers, have a relaxing evening and thanks again for the nomination.

Wow! Own book! You shocked me. What a good goal. So, cooking is your hobby. Now it is clear why the posts about food you do well.

Is the book still in the plans or have you already taken some steps to realize the idea?

I do not know how in your civilized country, but in our country if a person publishes a book, he almost always pays for himself. In your country, I understand that publishers should be interested, and if they see potential sales, they will start publishing a book. Am I wrong?

Hola @carademascota,

Déjeme decirle que usted tiene muy buen ojo para hacer fotografía, y esos pretzels se le ven muy bien, y dorados, toma muy buenas su celular.

Gracias por compartir.
Saludos desde Venezuela.

Greetings my friend @petface

Pretzels have an interesting shape, as you say, it is ideal for Valentine's Day because of its heart shape, here in Venezuela you can get them in some bakeries.

When I saw the second photo, I thought of tea, although there is no tea in it. Funny. Maybe the cheese looks like a teapot or a sugar bowl with a baked French Camembert design seen from a zenithal angle. I'm a coffee person, but Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is one of my favorite novels, and there's definitely something about this brunch that evokes the Mad Tea Party fantasy. Maybe it's the hearts or just my desire to dream.
Thank you another wonderful post, @petface :)
