#club5050 Easter Bunny

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Has the Easter Bunny visited you? Did it deliver any eggs? This tradition was brought to Britain from Germany and it is still a thing today. Kids and some big kids like me love an Easter egg hunt.

The weather is promising to be nice and it is already quite warm. The temperature goes up to eighteen degrees Celsius around lunch time. We plan a Saturday brunch barbecue with foot long hot dogs on the menu here at ours.

Then we are booked for an evening meal at a London based Michelin-starred pub. It goes without saying that I will be telling you all about it as soon as I get the chance to.

Currently we are thinking of whether to go for a two or three-course meal there, either way it will be accompanied by a bottle of wine.

But don't worry we will also cook some traditional meals at home. Hot cross buns are ready and available to snack on. We have a leg of lamb and we will also cook lamb neck.

We treated ourselves to some fantastic quality produce by popping in a farm shop for the meat and vegetables. Carrots, onions, garlic, cauliflower, green beans, shallots, they all taste much better when grown organically ideally by some family run farm.

I simply love buying directly from the producers, chatting to them of course, and also seeing that our money reaches the right people rather than going to the big supermarket chains that are never short on plastic to wrap the veg in.

There will be a homemade crumble with rhubarb straight from the garden so keep an eye out for a delicious post.

Have you come up with the menu for the Easter holidays? Over here in Britain we are off for four days starting this Friday.

So we are actually having two four-day weeks at work. I plan to spend lots of time outdoors and hopefully capture more stunning wildlife photos.

The cute wild bunnies featured here involved many early morning walks, avoiding the dog walkers. They are so lovely but never easy to capture as they barely dare being out there in an open field without any hideout. They are also most active at dawn and dusk when the light is not as bright. But like with other things in life one needs to be persistent and keep trying. Practice makes it perfect at the end of the day.

We also looked at some Easter decorations with an Easter egg tree being a quite popular item this year. Some of them do look like Christmas trees made from eggs which I find rather odd. It does make it easier though that you buy the whole thing rather than many individual eggs which you then try to arrange as a tree.

But who knows how will traditions evolve in the future. With all the technology it might all become more digital. Maybe my smart watch will challenge me by starting an Easter egg hunting session for me? I won't mind to be honest but I would rather get tasty, real and preferably dark chocolate eggs rather than just digital eggs and bunnies.

Sort:

I love giving away chocolate eggs, I enjoy it, I really like this time, spring comes and you take time to rectify if it is to your liking, you can go to church, those beautiful rabbits that I see in that garden are difficult to approach, I fell into an opportunity to try to catch him to caress him haha, I hope you have a nice time tasting great dishes or a good restaurant, the important thing is that you have a good company and a good wine to enjoy with!

There are things that technology will not be able to replace, we must insist that it does not!

In my country, children already have this week off from classes, Easter holidays!

Greetings and blessings!
