RE: The Concept Behind SteemSilverRound
Getting some idea of how many people would buy them would be the starting point.
Getting some idea of how many people would buy them would be the starting point.
The more we make, the cheaper the end oroduct becomes.
While price of silver is fixed at the current spot price (£26/$32usd) and we cant do much about that, we can shop around for a mint that would be willing to produce our coin and negotiate over their fees.
One of the biggest initial outlays would be the manufacturing of the dyes needed to press the designs into the coin. These arent cheap!! It takes a lot of man-hours to make these. A plus sidenis that we then "own" these dyes to keep and use indefinitely. You can even auction off them to help subsidise the final price of the coins.
As @pensif said, the first thing to do is find outnif there is an actual demand?? My guesstimate would be, we would need to guarantee 1000 sales to make it logistically worthwhile.
Ill get a post out later with some ideas and what not
I have received a pre-order with a total of 16 coins if there will be a new SteemSilverRound

That is a good start!
16 down, 984 to go!!
1000 might be tricky.
Do you know how many were minted for each of the previous Silver Rounds?
1500 pieces
