You sound just like me, trying out local dishes is a must.
BUT I said no to one dish... 100 years old egg in Thailand!
That smell! I just could not stomach it.
PS: South Africa is calling you! (•ิ‿•ิ)

I also like to try local food when traveling. In South Africa, what dishes can or should we try during food travel?
Can you write about them? By the way, are you participating in the @mister-omortson competition?
Umh... not sure if you know that South Africa is referred to as the "rainbow nation". This due to the variety of different cultures. Each culture also have it's own traditional food. As a Afrikaner, from my side there are three things, koeksisters, melktert en biltong! For sure!
I will write a post about them in the near future (•ิ‿•ิ)
Lastly, nope I am not but I will check it out.
Thank you for telling me.
👍👍👍
Oh dear 😱 I’ve been to Thailand but this is the first time I hear about this egg, maybe hard-boiled 🤔 My family and I had a holiday booked to South Africa which unfortunately got cancelled due to Covid in 2021. We re-booked it to the start of 2022 when it got cancelled again for the same reason. Then we just changed the destination and went to Canada last year.
Awh that is such a pity!
South Africa is a beautiful country and I do hope that it is still on your family's bucket list.
One condition, you must let me know if you ever come to South Africa. (•ิ‿•ิ)
