Steemit Statistics
Looking at the results of the November Community Support Program, I noticed that a large number of communities were listed there. I was curious, so I visited most of them. It was a revelation for me how many people are involved in creating quality content.
And my attention was drawn to the fact that several communities are advertising Steemit. I was interested in whether their work brings any results and whether the platform is moving at all.
Therefore, I will present some statistical results here.
According to the current attendance, Steemit is ranked 12058 in the world. We need to continue to grow.
Attendance has not increased in the last 6 months, even slightly decreased. The current effort to promote the Steemit platform is not enough.
The good news is that, on average, visitors linger on the site for 2 minutes instead of closing it for a few seconds.
Most visitors to Steemit come from South Korea and the United States. The United States came as a surprise to me. This country has high per capita incomes and it is strange to me that Americans are paying attention to the possibility of earning a few dollars in cryptocurrency.
Most of the traffic to the site comes from search engines. This means that Steemit is still full of quality content.
No popular search queries used to get visitors to Steemit were found. So, people get to the site due to low-frequency queries. This means that Steemit is filled with a variety of materials, and there are many of these materials.
Distribution of traffic sources from social networks. I got here from Reddit, but it was not mentioned in this statistic :)
After reviewing the statistics, I came to the conclusion that Steemit needs some impetus. We need to attract new users and increase traffic.
The United States comes as a big surprise to me too as there seem to be very few Americans blogging - most of them moved over to Hive with the split.
I wonder if this proportion is high because they are continuing to use their accounts for farming which then gets sold and transferred over to Hive.
I'd be interested in seeing what subdirectories are most popular - e,g, World of Xpilar is /hive-185836/ - especially where this American audience is concerned.
Is this something you can easily find out?
I would also be very interested in such statistics. But today I could not find a suitable service. In the past, I used a service that identified the most popular pages of the site, but it seems to no longer work. I will try to find an alternative because I wanted to write an article about the most popular communities by attendance.
When I have time, I may try to investigate this too. I have a few SEO sites that I've not visited for a long time which may well have this type of information.
I used to develop websites. It was unprofessional, but at that time I had customers. I had SEO tools. But over the years, so much has changed that I need to look for new ones.
I used to do it professionally 🙂 And then I moved into management and beyond so it's gone by the wayside somewhat. If only we could get access to their Google Analytics... 🤔
Yes, Google Analytics is the best service. In this case, we would understand everything and we could see the behavior of users on the site.
I think such information on this platform should be public.
I've asked one of the witnesses if this is possible - I hope so.
👍

Again, the United States in first place. Something is wrong here.
