Now You Can Guarantee Attention of the SC01
About a month ago, I wrote a post that, somewhat unexpectedly for me, sparked an interesting discussion. SC01 also joined these discussions. You can read his comments here, here and here.
Many interesting things were said in the comments of the Steemit team, as well as in the comments of other authors. But for greater visibility, I decided to create a post to emphasize certain points.

So now, by sending any amount of SBD to @null and including a link to your post in the MEMO (in the format @remlaps-lite/experiment-decentralized-steem-showcase), your post will not only go to the /promoted page, it will also guaranteed to get the attention of SC01. But be aware that guaranteed attention does not mean guaranteed upvote.
Today I go to /promoted and what do I see? If earlier there were 5 posts, now there are 25! SC01 comment magic indeed.
It is important to know that no matter how powerful a curator SC01 is, he cannot review 1000 posts. Therefore, it is in your best interest to have your post as high as possible on the /promoted page. How to achieve this? Very easy. The more SBD you send to @null, the higher your post will rank.
I believe that the /promoted page, along with the #burnsteem25 initiative, will benefit us all in the long run. For a long time, I was wrong about #burnsteem25, believing that this initiative reduces the profits of bloggers and increases the profits of investors who resort to the services of bots. But it is not quite so. This initiative only reduces the income of bloggers and that's all :) But this is temporary, because in the end everyone will benefit from the decrease in inflation.

Finally, I want to say something. Do you know what I love most about the /promoted page? The fact that I can send other people's posts there, which I really liked and which, in my opinion, deserve a greater reward.
/promoted is an interesting experiment.
We threw some votes on the posts there initially to kickstart interest.
Now we will be more selective...
We hope to see more interest in /promoted generate more competition to gain a higher position through burning more SBD.
Perhaps we will limit our voting interest to the top 3, or 4, or 5 posts there - assuming they are good posts !
We hope competitive bidding pushes the required SBD up sufficiently for this burning route to effectively compare with the #burnsteem25 option.
Fortunately SBD are coming back into the post rewards now to make it easier for people wanting to try /promoted.

Just like reading all the important, partly critically weighing comments under your original article. That would also take the focus - at least when reading - a bit off the sc01. This is something the team obviously suffers from, but still has no idea to explain to the community that we all are the Steem, we all are responsible for healthy growth.
I think this is the whole point. Everyone should think about what I personally can do for the platform, besides milking it like a cow.

Formally, of course, you are right. But we should please underline that it is not the amount burned that should be the deciding factor, but the content of the post.
But we shouldn't do the same with the promoted area as we did with burnsteem or the clubs.... I'm afraid it's already too late....
It is done again only because it brings attention from the SC. I would have liked us to approach it more like remlaps promoted the promoted page: To help meaningful content get more attention.

I decided to bring this page to the community's attention because it is a great way to further reduce inflation. In addition, I believe that if there is a fierce competition for the top places, then there will be really high-quality posts among the top. Maybe it won't be like that. Let's see.
I understand exactly what you do not like and what you are afraid of. I can assure you that the Steemit community is now so dependent on SC01 that any initiative will face the fate of clubs and burnsteem25. In order for this not to happen, we need to evolve as a community. It's a long way, but we're on it.
... and there are still many users who see it that way.
Maybe sometimes you just have to try something out... as long as you recognise in time when it no longer works...

Conclusion: The more users promote the post, the better its position on the promoted page.

I guess the amounts are added together. It has happened in the past, but the posts have already been paid out. Therefore, we cannot check it at the moment.
We are keeping an eye on it :-)
We are holding back from voting in /promoted now unless we see a very very good post otherwise our voting presence undermines the purpose of /promoted.
I think this is the right way to do justice to the purpose of the page.
The amazing support that the Steemit team has given us Steemian who is trying hard to make quality written content with this SBD burning effort, of course we can all fully participate in supporting it so that the value of SBD in the market goes up :)

I might revisit the idea of "promoted" posts... "way back when" promoted got a bit of a negative connotation when the discussions about bid bots and purchased upvotes were raging. Technically speaking, when someone buys an upvote, their post is "promoted."
I'll take a look again; I don't remember whether or not you can tell whether the author or someone else promoted a post. Regardless, burning some SBD would be a good thing.... for that matter, burning some Steem would be a good thing.
As an experienced blogger, you probably don't need to promote your posts. You have an established readership. But for those authors who are still growing and fighting for each new read, such an option will be very useful.

Знаєте, що в цій схемі добре. Те що вас ніхто не змушує нею користуватися і ви не зобов’язані платити. Це все добровільно. У вашому конкретному випадку, вам немає чого боятися, що ваші дописи не бачить куратор. Тому і рекламувати свої дописи вам непотрібно.
Я не згоден. Мої допси ніколи не в 100% силу, але куратор апає досить часто.
Я роздаю такі поради новачкам, і більше про них, а не про себе (просто себе ставлю у приклад). І поради працюють: після виставляння 100 % в силу їх хоч іноді апали.
Але так, кожен креслить свою стратегію самостійно, погоджуюся. Просто зараз в порівнянні з літом 2020 року все так ускладнилося, що я вже очікую підстав від платформи
Я згоден, все ускладнилося. Просто раніше куратору не було за кого голосувати, майже всі намагалися опублікувати одне фото і заробити купу грошей. Зараз з’являється багато цікавих і креативних авторів. Куратора на всіх не вистачає, от і доводиться боротися за його увагу.
На щастя завдяки вам і Олесі в українській спільноті є потужний кураційний акаунт. Так, хотілося б потужнішого, але інші спільноти і такого не мають, навіть близько.
І завдяки Вам! Ви теж зробили вклад, і серйозний. Далі було б добре, якби всі неактивні українці делегували нам SP (все одно вона не використовується і простоює).
