The Guacharo Cave
The Guacharo Cave natural monument is located in eastern Venezuela and owes its name to the nocturnal bird that inhabits it. The first mentions of its existence were written by the German explorer Alejandro von Humboldt.
Due to the effects of erosion, stalactites, stalagmites and speleothems can be seen in its interior, which present elongated shapes comparable to familiar figures.
