AMAZING OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP WITH THE GREAT ANNE BENGARD! BERLIN GALLERY WEEKEND! Exclusive on the Steemit blockchain by edga - edgasworld
Its Berlin Gallery Weekend in the city and a lot of different artists show their ateliers and give us a view in their world. I saw some incredible high class artworks today and i m still speechless about some artists and the ateliers too.
I made some really cool pictures. STAY TUNED for the BERLIN GALLERY WEEKEND!
Before i went to the ateliers i had a workshop. But this time as a student not the teacher :) I bought this workshop for my birthday and its about learning to paint with oil paint.
The workshop was 3 hours + some extra time today and tomorrow again 3 hours. I already learned a lot and i always wanted to jump into oil painting. One day after my birthday i saw an Instagram story of my friend ANNE BENGARD about a workshop she will give. ANNE is really good with Oil paint and i took the opportunity to support her and also me to learn something :))
Today i want to show you the first steps of the workshop and how it was :) ENJOY IT!

I start with three works of ANNE to show you what she can do and how impressive she works.
I just took the shots out of her atelier today. Very cool place!

She is a really good artist and amazing person <3 (with the blue hair)
Lets start with the workshops, how we learned it today :)
Choose your reference.
I took a reference from Anne.
I want to paint this picture in 2 workshop parts ( six hours ^^)
We painted the__backside__ of our black and white reference (the print) with a pencil black.
Put it on your surface and paint with a ballpoint pen all your lines you need.
Sometimes its good to paint some shadows and lights too.
...and booooom! Because of the black on the other side it is possible to transfair the lines you painted with the ballpoint pen to your surface.
You will always have the correct proportions.
Anne showed us how to start and explained some Technics.
From Dark to Light.
And lets gooooo!
Of course i was so in focus and tried something new i forgot to take pictures some times.
The last picture today is a detail shot of my work. We started to paint it black and white and add tomorrow some transparent color on the top. Dont know how but it sounds really interesting :)) Cant wait to learn this <3
... my part of todays oil painting workshop with ANNE BENGARD. (First try with oil EVER!)
What do you think? I m kind of proud but i see that it is really really hard and takes a lot of practice and patience!
And thats it for today! Let me know in the comments what you think about it and feel free to contact me for questions of whatever :))
STAY TUNED FOR PART 2 SOON!!!
...
SEE YOU VERY SOON <3
