Platform To Anywhere

The year 2021 passed by so fast. Many didn't realize that the year is about to turn to a new leaf. Many still have a lot of things to do. Many haven't had the chance to go anywhere. Many just stayed home.
Anne is one of those many people. As her siblings are living in a few different countries, Anne could not help but to feel very lonely. For the past 2 years, she has been living in memories and dreaming to be reunited with the rest of her family. She appeared happy, but deep down she is sad. She wished the COVID-19 virus would just go away.
One day, as she strolls by King's Cross Station on her way to work, she passed by platform 9 3/4. "They say this platform is magical, maybe I should give it a try", thought Anne. She remembers the rumors she heard about the platform, that once you tie a scarf around your neck and push yourself into Platform 9 3/4, just close your eyes and imagine the train station that you want to arrive, and you'll be there. "Sounds crazy, but no harm trying!".
As Anne is a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, she always carries her Slytherin scarf with her. Wearing the dark green scarf around her neck, she closed her eyes and push her stuff towards Platform 9 3/4. The world was on mute for awhile, before she suddenly smells a very strong cocoa scent. She opened her eyes and found herself outside of the Zaandijk Zaanse Schaans railway station. "It works!" yelled Anne. The passersby gave her weird look, but she doesn't care. All that she thinks of is to enjoy the classic Dutch Hot Chocolate while enjoying the windmill view, and hop on the train to meet one of her brothers and his family. She was so happy.
As she sips the hot chocolate, the world suddenly turns black. And the sound of her phone alarm goes off. "Oh, it was just a dream," she sighed and made her way to the bathroom as she prepares herself to work. "Probably I'll just bring the Slytherin scarf today. You'll never know!"

Interesting story of how we can daydream, imagination and mind elevate us to other unreal world that seem real. You can daydream and fantasize about something you sometimes want to be or have. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting story about Ana's dream, who using the magic of the train travels to a place she wished for, but the reality makes her return to her sad present.
