Attacker you cosplay.
Me and my best friend Giulio did a cosplay of the anime / manga attacker you, a kind of spokon manga very popular in Italy during our childhood. The Italian name was Mila and Shiro campioni della palla a volo, translated champions of volleyball.
And in fact the main them is the volleyball sport, we can say it is a sporty Anime.
In Italy everyone watched it, it was really extremely popular. Also if the character names are different from the original Yu, the main character, the girl I cosplayed is Mila, So is Shiro, the boy, in Italy was usual che ve the characters name.
Yu it's a nice character she is funny a little bit clumsy but very strong and powerful in sports, she joined the team in the high school and she make some friends and some enemies.
The anime and manga are both old they were released in 1984,it was quite popular in Japan too, everyone loved it because it was a good mix of love and sport.
And all the characters are good players, ambitious and cool.
Everyone with they own different attitude.
Yu or mila was my favorite character with her friend and enemy, Nami, I must cosplay her too one day. I followed both the Anime and the manga and I liked both a lot.
The cosplay was quite easy to make I just sew some little things and buy eye lens and wig but the main parts are very simple.
They are dress in a simple sporty way, the just have the t shirts with their number, so it's not an hard cosplay to make, simple but good. I enjoyed cosplay some characters of my childhood.
Next summer if the covid emergency will end I plan to cosplay some sailor moon characters.

Wow. You guys know a lot about old school! This manga is really old. I don't remember how old I was when I was into this anime or this manga. I must have been twelve or fourteen. Creating a costume for volleyball players is much easier than sewing a yukata for a female character in traditional Japanese clothing. I couldn't have sewn something like that myself, even if I had a lot of money for expensive yukata fabrics. For years now, I've been buying ready-made cosplay costumes for our local Go Kon festivals. By the way, I don't see the pictures you attached to your post either. Try updating your post and re-posting the pictures so we can see your costumes, guys.
