In a certain beautiful village there was a rather large lake full of beautiful red olu flowers. Villagers called this lake as the monster lake. It is because of the dangerousness of this lake that people call this lake in this way. So far, many people have fallen into this lake and died. That's why almost everyone is afraid to go down to this lake. The villagers say that there is a monster that haunts this lake and that it preys on people who go down into the lake.

One day, a young man of the village went down to this lake to pick olu flowers. But he has not come back. No one knows what happened to him. The villagers believe that the young man has been abducted by a monster in the lake. Even today, when passing by this lake, the voice of the missing young man can be heard through the lake. It is like an echo. Someone passing by the lake would hear through the lake, "Please save me." This is really sad. No matter how beautiful the lake is, it is sad that people are afraid for lake.

As always, many red flowers bloom in this lake. But no one went down to the lake to break them. Almost everyone is afraid to go down to the lake and put their lives in danger. That's why no one went down to the lake to pick flowers no matter how many flowers bloomed. Therefore, this lake is always full of red flowers. Also, the water of this monster lake is very clean water that is suitable for drinking. It is a lovely sight to see the crystal clear water. This lake is an asset to the village if it can be utilized. But the problem is that it cannot be done because of the monster in the lake.

The villagers went to meet a famous priest in another village to know about the offerings to be made for this lake. By performing these offers, the villagers hoped that the monster in the lake would not trouble anyone. There, the priest said that a virtuous person in the village should be lowered into the lake and perform these poojas. Then the troubles from the monster will disappear.

As the priest said, the villagers lowered a pious person of the village into the lake and offered sacrifices. After successfully performing all these pujas, the villagers were able to descend into the lake. Since then, the villagers have been making offerings to the lake every day. The villagers were able to go down to the lake and take advantage of it because of this Pudapooja.
