Writing competition 136: The mysterious mountain

It was a normal day in the kingdom of King Rotri when his young and beautiful daughter and princess named Sterli escaped from the palace and started walking in the forest nearby. The forest is very peaceful as her father King Rotri is casually strolling once in a while to unwind or when he is hosting important visitors while discussing things about the kingdom.

After a few minutes of walking Sterli noticed that the path she was walking was getting narrower with every ten steps she made but she was not frightened since the forest was just inside the stronghold of her father's kingdom although some parts were not visited by people from the kingdom. She just kept on walking because she knew that she was still far away from the border of her father's kingdom and also because the border was heavily guarded by palace guards.

After more minutes of walking, she noticed that the forest was getting more beautiful and amazing with each step she made and then all of a sudden she noticed the pathway was fading, she thought, this could be the end of the pathway but she kept walking anyway. A few more steps and she encounters a thick fog. She touched the fog and she felt that it was cold.

To her amusement, she walks through the fog slowly with caution, and then slowly she reaches the end of the fog, and in front of her is a mountain that looks like the image below.

The mountain seemed to have fog on its back and some fog at its center, she stopped for a moment, and then she thought that she was not even halfway far from her father's kingdom, so, she still felt safe. She then starts to walk onto the mountain and walks through its small opening and every time she touches the small opening of the mountain she seems to be being teleported to the other opening of the mountain. She is not frightened, instead, she feels happy with it and she touches every possible opening of the mountain. She did it multiple times on each different opening of the mountain until she noticed a seemingly obscure opening, so, she immediately approached it, and then she was teleported to her room in the kingdom.

She was shocked at what she found. Instead of freaking out, she kept it with herself and sometimes she'll play with the guards and lead them to the mountain only for her to enter the opening and she will be immediately teleported to her room.

But there is one thing that she noticed. She is the only one that the mountain teleports to her room even the guards would walk straight to the mysterious opening. The guards can see her entering the opening they just can't see where she goes because of the fog, they think the princess is just a fast runner and beat them every once in a while when is leads them to the mountain.

Until today, no one knew about the teleportation. She keeps it to herself so that she can go there anytime to unwind.
