Bili Bili Dam At Dry Season

Today after my work was done I headed to the Bili Bili Dam which is located in Gowa district. The journey is quite far takes 1 hour drive. I really hope the sky conditions support for photographing the sunset if not what a waste of time.

When I arrived at the location, the dam was almost dry, only a small stream remained. Most of the area has turned into a green expanse of rice fields. But i need to create something out of nothing, so i Scout the area taking photo while waiting for sunset.

Every year the condition of this dam will change, from December to March usually the water level will be very high. But in May-June it will slowly shrink and almost completely dried during dry season with no rain. The Rain hasn't fall for almost 3 month now that's why the water level drop so much and people on this area turn the land to becoming agricultural land planted with rice, sweet potatoes and peanuts.

There is something unique about this place, namely the small boats that have turned into shelters for farmers who cultivate the fields. It looks like a boat sailing on a green expanse.

Bilibili Dam is a complete landscape photo spot location. You can get photos of sunrise, sunset, and also the milky way here. There is also a place for camping ground near by.
