What farmers do to protect their paddy

in WORLD OF XPILARyesterday

Best wishes for success to all of you steemit friends wherever you are...

When we talk about farmers, of course, many things come to mind from the planting process to the harvesting process. For that reason, in this stage I try to present a little, what has been seen when I cross the rice fields in the place where I live. This is a community-owned farm that is managed by the community itself.

Farmers are spraying

Nurturing rice plants that are bearing fruit is a sight we are used to seeing. Such was the case with the farmer seen, in the morning he sprayed the rice plants. The spraying that was done was spraying for leafhoppers. So this farmer did it before the leafhoppers attacked their rice. Of course, to get good results, care is taken from the start. The grains of rice that begin to break open, making farmers have to spray immediately. However, the spraying is still within certain limits.

There are also some rice paddies that have already borne fruit with full fruits. So that farmers must anticipate the attack of pests that can fly. Who else if not birds. Usually there are several types of sparrows, which like rice grains to be used as a food source. There are also types of sparrows, which will not leave the rice fields even if approached by farmers.

We can see farmers doing various things to protect their fields from this flying pest. Starting from making dangau, spraying and installing nets, people and even plastic that when blown by the wind makes it sparkle.

This is all done by farmers to protect their rice fields from pests that can reduce crop yields. Of course, what is done is sometimes less effective, although this is actually an effort made by farmers. However, there are birds that sneak up on the rice stalks to enjoy the grains.

So even if we chase the birds away, this one is very difficult. Because it will not fly away, even though we are close to it. For Tempoa, Gelatik and other sparrows, this does not apply. They will fly away from rice fields that are guarded by farmers, either by using catapults, scarecrows or by setting up nets.
